As flow runs around the Omega tube perpendicular to the direction of oscillation, the Coriolis Force generated causes the measurement tubes to flex inwards or outwards, depending upon the direction of rotation:
- high wall thickness for high pressure & temperature
- stabilizing mass bar to reduce effects of external vibration
- energizing torsion rods for good accuracy at low flow
